BuzzEvents is hungry for chocolate.
Today, the Topeka-based experiential event production company that produces, manages and licenses festivals around the country, has acquired the Kansas Chocolate Festival, the largest chocolate related event in Kansas. The festival was created in 2016 by Visit Topeka.
BuzzEvents reached an agreement with former event organizer Visit Topeka and will begin producing the Topeka-based festival in 2019. Featuring a street festival, food truck garden, wine and beer garden, live music and the "Golden Ticket Experience", which takes place inside TPAC's Hill's Festival Hall. The Kansas Chocolate Festival will have something for everyone this year.
"We continually look for ways to expand our company and one way is by adding to our portfolio of brands. This can come from developing events internally, broadening existing concepts, or by acquiring established brands like the Kansas Chocolate Festival and building upon that," said Zach Haney, CEO and founder of BuzzEvents. "The Kansas Chocolate Festival fits our model and vision nicely."
Founded in 2018, BuzzEvents produces TacoTopia, Cider Days Fall Festival, Kansas KidsFest, amongst many other events. Zach Haney began planning events at the age of sixteen when he created his first party rental and event planning company.
Over 15,000 people participated in last year's Kansas Chocolate Festival and guests can expect a delicious event in 2019. The Kansas Chocolate Festival is scheduled to take place June 15th in Downtown Topeka from 10am-2pm. Maps and information will be published on the official topekachocolate.com website.
VIP tickets for the Golden Ticket Experience are on sale now at topekachocolate.com.
